During 2020 we worked on a succession plan for the Chair of the Trustee position, as Jeff Hewitt 'the existing Chair' had indicated that he would like to step down following over 25 years in the position. Jeff was also the former finance director of Electrocomponents and this therefore ends a long association with Electrocomponents. We would like to take this opportunity to say an enormous thank you to Jeff for his excellent stewardship as Chairman and his dedicated service to the pension Scheme and members.

We are also pleased to announce that with effect from 1 November 2020 Jeff has been replaced as Chair by Fiona Stark, an independent professional trustee with Capital Cranfield. Fiona has trustee experience extending back over 20 years including extensive experience of chairing boards in both the public, private and not for profit sectors including chairing the main E.ON £4 billion pension scheme. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Fiona to the Board of Trustees.
